SUMMARY

Oddity (simply "Guard" while working for Fawful) is a Fawful Guy that no longer resembles one much at all - on purpose. After Bowser’s army successfully drove Fawful’s minions out of their territory, they were left without a leader and purpose, as well as the grief of failing their lord. Oddity tries to distance itself from looking like a minion of his to stay undercover, but also because it feels shame about its failure.
Once Fawful seemingly disappeared, Oddity had to start thinking for itself. It slowly began to break from his influence because it realized that Fawful wasn’t all that his brainwashing wanted it to think he was. It soon learns to read and invests itself in Mushroom Kingdom history, soon figuring out that though Fawful had made it quite far, there were many before and after him that make attacking the Mushroom Kingdom not seem as glorious nor noble a feat as it first thought.

However, it does miss its kind. Occasionally, it will sneak into Bowser’s Road in the middle of the night to search out any sign of other Fawful Guys. Sometimes it leaves flowers and food in hope that one may return, as ridiculously unlikely as it may be. However, it worries that it’s so far removed from what it used to be that it might struggle to get along with one. Regardless, it does not want their very short existence to be forgotten. Ideally, it wants to secure somewhere for other survivors to use as refuge.
(A note about its speech because I feel obligated - it doesn't talk like Fawful does, though it sometimes elongates syllables (like thiis).)

PERSONALITY

Despite its circumstances it’s a very curious person and likes to explore and study anything it doesn’t know. It become as a bit of a bookworm as it disguises (usually involving a poorly-made costume or mask of Toads, Blitties, or trying to resemble a Beanbean Advisor) and sneaks into libraries. It both genuinely enjoys learning and wants to be as prepared as possible for any potential danger. Sometimes it finds it difficult to break out of an alert attitude and calm down.

Though it likes to dress intimidatingly, it's usually timid and very much prefers being the initiator of a conversation instead of getting confronted. If it's threatened it may put on a rough facade but prioritize on getting away. If push comes to shove, however, it doesn't hesitate to bite and scratch with its metal-clawed gloves, and this amount of stress usually causes it to foam at the mouth. It will usually bite before anything else in hopes that the sudden appearance of its huge teeth from the shadow of its hood will freak out and scare away any bully.

It's very used to fending for itself, even though it hates being alone. It gets anxious staying in one place, so it chooses to not have any home. It's capable of hunting to some extent, usually by ambushing something around its size and attacking with whatever it has on hand (usually its metal clawed gloves, but also branches, rocks, and the like); however, it thinks creating "salads" (combinations of random plants in its surroundings it chooses indiscriminately) much less risky.

RELATIONS

Captain Fawful Guy: Before being separated, Oddity (called Guard at the time) was Captain's voice of reason. Though they did care about eachother, Captain didn't really like Oddity's lack of trust in his capabilities. After separation, they'd both be overjoyed to see each-other again, but their friendship is still very unstable. Oddity doesn't want to lose Captain, so it may behave overly protectively about him.

Acculea T.: Acculea T. is always trying to get Oddity to not be so tense despite its fears. She wants it to lighten up and join her in pranking Toad Town's civilians, but Oddity's fearful of taking part and thinks she's very reckless. They met each-other while Oddity was exploring Toad Town and noticed the peculiar-looking "Toad". She saw it on a rooftop and dragged it into conversation, very curious about its strange appearance. Ever since then they'd became good friends, though their friendship is hurt by Oddity tending to just.. Disappear from the kingdom for weeks.

Zag: They've never met Zag. They'd probably be very excited to see another fawfulized person, but they would not get along very well. Oddity can't game very well because its metal-clawed gloves get in the way, and it hardly knows what a video game is. Zag would definitely want to try to teach it but may become impatient quickly.

Strangers: Oddity's timid towards most strangers unless confronting them in a disguise or "ambushing" (NOT violently, more like appearing from seemingly nowhere) to initiate a conversation. If they are confronted by surprise, they may awkwardly try to hold a conversation until they can find a good time to run.
